Ethernet in the First Mile (EFM)
EFM is delivered over copper pairs and can provide up to 20Mb symmetrical bandwidth into businesses.
NGC have access to more Ethernet exchanges in the UK (more than 1900 to be more specific) than any other EFM provider, meaning we are able to offer EFM in some areas where even BT don't have the infrastructure.
EFM is an extremely cost effective solution for businesses wanting to upgrade from ADSL or SDSL but can't justify the cost of a fibre leased line solution.
It is also now possible to provide a WAN, MPLS or IPVPN solution using EFM in order to minimise business costs.
